I’m not one for hijacking posts, but something has to be said.
You’re a feminist, right?
You want equality, right?

It works both ways.

Put it this way, imagine if this was a woman being put in these situations wearing little to nothing.
Oh, it’d all be different then, wouldn’t it?

Sexualising men is JUST AS BAD as sexualising women.
If this was with a woman and the supplier was boycotted, you’d celebrate wouldn’t you? You’d want to boycott it too, right?
But if a man said he would buy the product JUST because there was a woman in the advertisements…
A big chunk of tumblr would go batshit.

But sexualising a man is TOTALLY OKAY.
Nothing wrong with it? Are you sure?

Do you remember all those posts talking about how boys can feel just as insecure about their bodies as anyone?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m a fucking teenage white girl, but I happen to know a good chunk of guys who have felt insecure about their bodies.
But do you really think this will do those guys any good?
This is just as “bad” as having “stick-thin” and “normal” female models, and having them sexualised.
Of course, the model is attractive. Don’t get me wrong I’m not shaming bodies.

If anyone should be ashamed, it should be the people who think sexualising women is wrong but sexualising men is right.

Let’s have some real equality.
Let’s not be afraid to stand up for our rights as females, but let’s respect men at the same time, okay?

We’re all human, for fucks sake.

the show awkward is supposed to depict the life of a socially awkward teenage blogger but in the show she has 2 hot guys that want to be with her but she can’t choose one like hONESTLY THAT IS NOT THE LIFE OF A SOCIALLY AWKWARD BLOGGER THAT ISN’T EVEN AWKWARD

image

maybe at the end the hot guys turn out to be fictional characters and its all in her head and the camera zooms out on a scene of her laughing alone with salad

omg
